Louis L'Amour said the "key to understanding any people is in its art: its writing, painting, sculpture."

Art — sculpting — is a beautiful form of expression at its best. Sculpting is bold and expressive, more so a sculpture can be so beautifully made, that it represents something in the best way possible, and most importantly, it's vicarious.

We at Sthenia appreciate beautiful sculpting and showing them to you, is the best way, we can share our experiences with these sculptures.

Walking to the Sky

The sculpture characterizes a little girl, a businesswoman, a young man, and others scaling a soaring 100-foot-tall stainless steel pole.

The artist - Jonathan Borofsky - says the sculpture is "a celebration of the human potential for discovering who we are and where we need to go."

The Awakening

The Awakening is a 72-foot sculpture of a giant that's stuck in the earth, struggling to free himself. Milton Peterson, a real-estate developer, purchased the sculpture for $750,000 in 2007 - so it could be installed in his new National Harbor development at Maryland.

The Kelpies

The Kelpies are 30-metre-high horse-head sculptures illustrating kelpies - shape-shifting water spirits. They are a monument to the horse-powered heritage across Scotland.

Mustangs of Las Colinas Museum

This beautiful sculpture portrays a group of nine wild mustangs, running through a watercourse. The sculpture celebrates wild mustangs that were found in large parts of Texas.

What do you think about these sculptures? Are they amazingly beautiful?
