YOUR SLEEPING POSITION AND HOW IT DEFINES YOU

Sleep is vital, and not easily avoidable, and it's all the more reason you sleep every day. More so, whenever you sleep, your sleeping position might not seem like anything to you, but there are claims that the way you sleep reveals your traits. Scientists believe that how we sleep has a great effect on our behavioural tendencies.

Although your sleep position doesn't entirely determine your personality, some common healthy sleeping positions can tell a little about your traits, according to research.

Here are a few common sleep positions and the traits associated with them;

The fetal sleeping position.

This is a very popular sleeping position. It involves you lying on your side on the bed as your knees are bent towards your chest, and your chest is curled up like a baby. Women sleep often like this compared to men. If you sleep this way, it shows you're a sensitive person, and more so, you may be shy and introverted. 

The log sleeping position.

This sleeping position involves you lying on your side with both arms straight down. It's been proven that very few people sleep this way, probably because it seems uncomfortable. If you sleep this way, it shows you're easy-going, social and trust others easily.

The starfish sleeping position. 

This sleeping position involves you lying on your back with both arms up by your pillow. Men sleep more like this compared to women. People who sleep like this are generous, they never hold back, when it comes to helping people. 

The soldier's sleeping position.

People who sleep like this, lie on their backs with both arms at their sides or on their chest. People who sleep this way have these traits - they tend to be very organized, have very high standards and more so they are cool and quiet

The heron sleeping position

People who sleep like this, sleep like they're in a kung fu tournament. They sleep with their stomach facing the bed and one of their knees raised. People who sleep like this are adventurous, unpredictable and have swift mood changes.
